Here are some fears that are more entertaining than the tanking stock market

On the principle that we all need some distraction from the mega-fears afflicting us all — the economy, the stock market, Iran and the Bomb — here are a couple of fears I’d consider less usual:

I am terrified of large, rectangular pool drains. I think it is because I almost drowned in our swimming pool as a child, and saw the drain sucking things in.

I am terrified of mice and home invasions (I wake up at least twice a night to make sure the alarm is set).
