In honor of my dad coming home from the hospital today, here are some Best Random Things related to parenting:
I talk to my nine month old non-stop. When we go shopping I ask him questions about what he thinks of what we’re going to buy, or if I should buy one thing or another. People often look at me like I’m crazy. — People often looked at me like I was crazy before I had Duane. ;)
My mother once owned a horse named Dick. She didn’t tell us about it for 40 years. When we asked why she never mentioned it, she said, “You never asked.” So now we ask her random things like, “Were you a Cold War spy?’
