Today’s Best Random Things: Very very short stories

There’s a legend that Hemingway wrote a six-word story: Baby shoes for sale, never worn. Some Best Things have that same quality of a small window onto a narrative landscape. Some of the Best I’ve seen so far:

I was saluted by Bill Clinton with a lamb chop in the White House.

I once saved a dog from the bottom of a mine shaft.

Apparently my family figured out I was transgendered when I was about 12, before that they thought I was gay. I sometimes wish they’d thought to mention this to me as it was many years later before I figured it out.
