When I was 12, I wrote my own religion. I really liked the idea of the ritual and the meaning, but didn’t believe in either the Jewish or Christian version of God. This happened soon after reading “Are You There God, It’s Me Margaret”
I led my first person, a third grade classmate, to the Lord when I was 9 years old.
I read a book called The Late Great Planet Earth during this phase. It predicted the Rapture was going to occur before 1989. I was opposed to premarital sex, but made sure I lost my virginity in 1988, as to not be shortchanged.
